with his instant camera to wait up for the intruder. But instead he encounters a band of thieves looking for time hole.
Kevin decides to follow them and befriend the tiny time thieves and join them on a quest through history.
With the Supreme Being and the Ultimate Evil both after the band of heavenly misfits after the map to time holes, the
quest for gold takes a back seat to the quest to stay in one piece.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
Terry Gilliam of the Monty Python group directs this and Michael Palin helps him write the screenplay to this twisted time
trip premise. Now the acting is perfect, the humor is dark but most of the time funny. The cast is wonderful and the story
works. The effects are astounding, but my only two complaint is this. One, some of the humor is a little dark, I doubt Robin
Hood's Merry Men were greasy thugs and the other is the climax. Without giving away too much it is on the confusing side.
Also makes you wonder if it was all a dream or not. But as a whole Terry Gilliam does a great job directing and it is a must
see for all the fans of the old Monty Python show of the 1960s. 8 STARS out of 10.
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I agree and speaking as a fan of the Monty Python bunch I like to say I'm not surprised with what Zedd wrote about it. But
dark humor is what Monty Python is known for and I for a party of one like their take on history and find it very funny indeed.
On a scale of 1 to 10 stars, 10 being best and 1 being total trash, I give it 9 Stars.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ HUMOR (Although dark at times, it is funny.)
+ CAST (A great cast of British stars.)
+ EFFECTS (The effects are impressive.)
+ STORY (The story holds together.)
+ ACTING (The acting is well done.)
+ WRITING (The writing holds together as well.)
+ FAN BASED (A must for all Monty Python's Flying Circus fans.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- TOO DARK (Some of the humor is a little too dark for ZEDD's taste.)
- CONFUSING CLIMAX (Without giving it away, the climax is a tad confusing.)
...AND FINALLY...
- FAN BASED (However if you aren't to the unique humor styles of Monty Python's Flying Circus, then this isn't for you.)
